Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman was an American female gymnast, and captain for The US women's Olympic gymnastics the 2012 Fierce Five team as well as in 2016. In 2016, she was part of the Final Five. At the 2012 Olympics in London she won gold medals in floor and team events, and a bronze in the balance beam. She was the first American to have won many Olympic medals. She and her teammate Gabby Doug were the very first Americans to take home back-to-back golds in team competitions. The silver medals she won came from the floor individual and all-around events. The break was for three years between the two Olympics from competing gymnastics. The gold medal she won for the American team also won the two World Championships. As a young girl, she began to learn gymnastics. Her favorite sport is floor exercise. Aly participates in her organization, the Uniting Against Lung Cancer Organization in memory and honor of her grandmother. Aly is planning to pursue the profession of a fashion designer. She hopes to pursue expanding her trademark range of leotards. She's writing a book called Fierce to be published in the coming months.
